The ophthalmic form of this medicine is used to reduce fluid pressure inside the eyes for patients suffering from intraocular hypertension.
Open angle Glaucoma
The ophthalmic form of this medicine is used in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma, a condition characterized by progressive damage to the optic nerve that may eventually lead to vision loss.
The ophthalmic form of Pilocar Eye Drops use in the treatment of narrow-angle glaucoma, a condition that occurs suddenly when the iris is pulled or pushed forward and there is a fluid build up behind the iris.
Production of miosis
The ophthalmic and intracameral (injection into the eye chamber) forms of Pilocar Eye Drops use for the production of miosis (excessive constriction of the pupil of the eye) prior to and during ophthalmic surgeries as necessary.
How to use Pilocar Eye Drop
Pilocar Eye Drops is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place Pilocar Eye Drops inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Driving or operating machines –
Pilocar Eye Dropsmay cause blurred vision and dizziness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.
Pilocar Eye Dropsshould be used with caution in patients who are known or expected to sweat excessively due to the increased risk of dehydration. Patients are advised to drink an adequate amount of water or liquids to maintain hydration.
